We travelled to Pattaya
at the end of October, 2000. |
|

For some reasons or else,
we used to visit only Pattaya. |
|
| |
Although package tour to
Larn island is current in Pattaya, we travelled to Larn island by ordinary
boat |
| |
from pier of Pattaya to
Larn island because price of package tour is rather expencive. |
|
| |
Only travellers from
overseas seem to use expencive package tour. |
|
| |
Festival called
Loikratoon seems to be similar to Toro Nagashi in Japan but it is a little
bit different. |
| |
Loikratoon is kind of
festival to thank the God of Water with regard to agriculture, |
|
| |
whereas the Japanese Toro
Nagashi is a ceremony to honer the memory of departed. |
|
| |
You can enjoy carnival,
night stall, exhibition of dancing and singing by the children and so on. |
|
| |
As for Loikratoon, there
is no gloomy mood of Toro Nagashi ceremony in Japan. |
|
| |
Children are looking
forward to enjoying in the festival of Loikratoon which is being held |
|
| |
on the night of full moon
in December in old calender. |
